Site work and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Greenville, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The project includes sale of 160,000 sqft of sod, enough seed to seed 100,000 sqft, and the transportation of the sod/seed to the work site, as well as installation of the sod with the help of 4-8 community volunteers each day during installation. Also included in the job will be the delivery and spreading of soil conditioner at the rate of 2 yards per 1,000 sqft of sod and the application of fertilizer (15-15-15 starter fertilizer) at the rate of 160 lbs per acre. Finally, the project includes a care handbook as well as verbal consultation regarding care of the sod for 1 year after installation. Item 1: Sod/seed o 160,000 sqft of Oasis Blue Fescue sod o 35% Meridian Tall Fescue o 30% Reflection Tall Fescue o 25% Xtender Tall Fescue o 10% Yellowstone Bluegrass o 0% Weed Seed. o Germination rate must be at least 98% and all sod must be 100% A list approved o Sod to be delivered to 320 Greenville Park and all necessary equipment must be provided for installation. IVCSD will have 4-8 volunteers at the job site to help with Installation each day. Item 2: Soil Conditioner o Soil Conditioner to be delivered to the job site and to be spread by contractor in the areas where the new sod will be installed at the rate of 2 yards per 1,000 sqft. Item 3: Fertilizer o 15-15-15 starter fertilizer to be spread at the rate of 160lbs per acre to all new sod. Item 4: Follow up / consultation o Contractor to provide a written care guide for the new sod as well as verbal instructions/guidance/directions to the CSD as needed for 1 year after the job is completed. Item 5: Equipment o All equipment needed for delivery, installation, spreading, etc to be provided by the contractor. All contractors must possess a valid and appropriate California contractor's license (e.g., C-27, Class A, Class C-12, or C-61/D-34) at the time the contract is awarded. The selected contractor must also provide proof of insurance, including general liability and workers' compensation, with IVCSD named as additional insured. This project is subject to California prevailing wage requirements under Labor Code Sections 1770-1784 and contractor registration requirements with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, in the amount of 10% of the total bid (including any bid alternates), secured by an admitted surety insurer authorized to do business in California. Bidders must use the form attached as Exhibit A. Submittal of a surety company form in place of this District-required form is not acceptable. In lieu of a bond, a certified or cashier's check in the same amount is acceptable. Personal or company checks will not be accepted. Failure to submit the required bid security shall render the bid non-responsive. The Indian Valley Community Services District and Indian Valley Recreation and Park District reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received, and to award the contract in part or in whole in the best interest of the public.
