Design-Build Services for the TPS Professional Development Center - Partial Demolition & Renovation project Tacoma School District is requesting qualifications from firms interested in providing Design-Build (DB) services related to the TPS Professional Development Center (PDC) - Partial Demolition & Renovation project This project will utilize the Progressive Design-Build (PDB) delivery method. Firms with previous PDB experience, or experience using a similar alternative construction delivery format, are encouraged to submit. During the project, the Design-Builder will receive direction from designated representatives in the Tacoma Public Schools (TPS) Planning & Construction Office and will work collaboratively as a member of a team to achieve project objectives. The existing TPS PDC is located in Tacoma's West End neighborhood at 6501 N 23rd Street. The PDC shares a site of approximately 20acres with the Districts West Swing School (Old Skyline ES) and the new Skyline Elementary School. This project will generally involve the demolition of buildings B & C, removal or demolition of four portable classroom buildings, associated site improvements at the area of demolitions and interior renovations at Building A and the Science Resource Building. It's the District's intent to keep the PDC facility occupied and operational during the demolition and construction work. The West End Swing School, located to the west of the PDC, and the new Skyline Elementary School, located to the east of the PDC will also remain occupied and operational.
