The scope of work consists of, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of damaged concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, drive approaches, and other related work. Bidders are required to obtain digital copies of the plans, specifications, and bid proposal through the City's online bid management system (Planet Bids). Prospective bidders must register an account on Planet Bids to be included on the prospective bidder's list(s) and must check the website daily through the close of bids for any applicable addenda or updates. Sealed bids must be submitted properly through Planet Bids before the specified bid opening time. Bidders must possess the appropriate contractor licenses (Class "A" General Engineering Contractor or Class "C-8" Concrete Contractor). Prevailing wage requirements of the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts as well as applicable state rates will be enforced. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security bond in the specified form and amount, submitted directly to the City Clerk's office. A Payment Bond and a Completion Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount, are required. All questions regarding the bid must be submitted through Planet Bids according to the schedule, and responses will be provided in writing and posted through the system. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid. Federal requirements for wages and work conditions must be followed due to HUD CDBG funding.
