Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.
The work consists of interior finishes including plaster restoration, glass railing assembly, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems, storefront and masonry work, painting, exterior and sitework with steel stairs, removal and salvaging of wood floor and framing in theater space, ceiling demolition, and removal/demolition of other miscellaneous items. The contractor is required to perform all work and furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi law, show a current Certificate of Responsibility from the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors, and indicate this number on the bid envelope. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate on the form provided and accompanied by a bid guarantee of at least five percent of the bid. Bidders may also be required to submit a current financial statement. The successful bidder must furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract. No proposals may be withdrawn after the bid period closes. Award of contracts to non-resident bidders will follow the same basis as non-resident bidders' states, depending on treatment of Mississippi bidders.
