Sealed bids are invited for the construction of 0.108 miles of bridge and approaches on County Road 4204, Project No. LSBP-04(27) in Attala County, Mississippi. The principal work includes mobilization, clearing and grubbing, removal of an existing bridge, unclassified and excess excavation, placement of crushed stone, installation of reinforced concrete pipe and end sections, right-of-way markers, maintenance of traffic, additional construction signs, and traffic markers. Erosion control measures such as seeding, agricultural limestone, fertilizer, ammonium nitrate, vegetative mulch, excelsior blanket, silt fence, wattles, loose riprap, geotextile under riprap, and temporary grassing are required. Bridge construction items include test piles, pile load tests, prestressed concrete piling, pre-formed pile holes, concrete piling cut-off, precast concrete slab units (interior and exterior), precast concrete barriers, precast concrete caps, precast concrete wings, and additional riprap with geotextile. The work is to be completed within 100 working days. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for five percent of the total bid. Bids qualified by conditional letters will be considered irregular and will not be accepted. The contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder based on published quantities.
