Sumner Bonney Lake School District requests qualifications from General Contractor Construction Managers for the Sumner High School Phase 2 project using the procurement permitted under Chapter 39.10 of the RCW, as amended, for selected school projects for public works contracting in lieu of sealed bids. The project consists of building Phase 2 of the Sumner High School, which is approximately 100,000 sf encompassing the new expanded CTE program, robotics program and other classroom pro-grams including animal husband-ry. This project completion will facilitate the start of the future Phase 3 replacement of the east-ern portion of the existing facility Design is underway and is close to completion of SD but is currently on hold to allow for the selection of the GC/CM partner. Pre-Construction services are anticipated to begin December 2025 with project final occupancy estimated to be by August/September 2028 which means substantial completion would be around June 2028. The GC/CM shall provide high quality services including scheduling, phasing logistics, collaboration with the design consultants, manage and estimate design bud-gets and design contingency solutions, coordinate environmental and hazmat investigation services and plans, direct construction best-practices, organize design investigative work and provide assistance in the selection of materials and building systems, solicit and manage subcontractor bid packages and supplier bidding while providing high-quality construction services to safely deliver a superior project that comprises the full scope of program needs set by SBLSD that is on time and under budget.
