The Dare County Water Department is accepting "Request for Qualifications" for engineering services. The project is the installation of one (1) Reverse Osmosis Unit at the Hatteras Water Treatment Plant, Frisco, NC. The engineer will provide services to the County to prepare a Request for Proposals for Design Build Services, advertise and select a design-build contractor based on the design proposal. The scope of the engineering consultation services after the selection of the design build contractor will be negotiated at a future date. The scope of the engineering services to be provided shall include but are not limited to: Basic engineering design with plans. Dare County will supply plans of the existing infrastructure. Incorporate NC DENR approved Dare County "Standard Specification for Water Distribution Construction" in the project design. Prepare a report for permitting requirements for the project. Prepare a Request for Proposal (RFP) document detailing the design build services requirements as the construction delivery method. Provide RFP services to the County for advertisement, selection, and contract services to selected design-build construction team. Prepare and administer any other bid documents needed for this project. Submissions will be evaluated using the attached scoring matrix.
