Renovation of a municipal facility in Milton, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,236-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.
ITB 2025.11 Workforce Utility Renovation. The City of Milton will receive sealed submittals for this project. Documents and description may be obtained at the City of Milton's website, from the Florida Purchase Alliance, DemandStar, and the Office of Supplier Diversity. The City Council reserves the right to accept the best submission for the city or reject all submissions. Q/A:- Questions should be submitted in writing and directed to the Purchasing department via e-mail to mwilliams@miltonfl.org by Friday, October 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. (CST), and the contact number for the Purchasing department is (850) 983-5480. Answers will be posted in an addendum on the City webpage, Bid Net Direct, DemandStar.com, and Office of Supplier Diversity by Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. (CST). The City of Milton is seeking Construction Contractor for the renovation of a 4740 square-foot city-owned facility into a multi-use utility worker training and utility administrative operations facility. The purpose of the renovation of this facility is to facilitate the growth of critically needed utility workforce training programs in the area. The City of Milton (City) utility administrative operations facilities are located on the corner of Alabama and Dixon Street; Milton, Florida (Parcel 34-2N-28-0000-24600-0000). Old City Hall(5438 Alabama Street, Milton, Florida 32570) is scheduled to be renovated utilizing Florida Legislature appropriated funds. Activities to include critical repairs (plumbing/electrical), floor plan modifications to include a 20-person capacity classroom area with ADA access, and a ADA restroom. Contingent on funding, the project could include alternative onsite utility equipment/supplies storage and parking lot expansion. If procured, responders to this RFP would be expected to work collaboratively with the City and State of Florida, Department of Commerce. Responders must have demonstrated experience in providing such services and an understanding of the standards and requirements typical to perform the work. The responders must hold and maintain appropriate certifications and licenses deemed necessary by local, State and Federal agencies. Activities shall be completed in strict compliance with all local, State and Federal applicable Laws, Rules, and Regulations." The scope of work includes interior upgrades to the existing building at 6794 Dixon Street in Milton, FL. Interior upgrades generally include work in an existing multipurpose room, restroom, and storage room. The multipurpose room will be converted to new Training Room that will require demolition and replacement of existing interior finishesincluding floor, metalstud and gypsum board walls, acoustical ceiling, lighting, doors, HVAC system, casework, electrical work, and plumbing. The existing restroom will be converted to be handicap accessible restroom and will require demolition and replacement of existing flooring, concrete slab, wall finishes, door, plumbing fixtures, restroom accessories, ceiling, and lighting. The existing storage room will be converted to a new IT Room and will require new interior finishes including flooring, painting, electrical work, IT Racks, and new package HVAC unit. All work related to the intent of the new work and upgrades as indicated in the construction documents are also included in the scope of work. New Accoustical Tile Commercial Grid Ceiling New LVT Floor incuding floor prep New 20 guage commercial metal stud walls to ceiling New Sheetrock 5/8 fire rated /Taped/Finished/textured/ 1 coat prime /2 coats finish New cove base - Training room and IT room New Electrical receptacles/light switches /commercial in conduit New Lighting commercial in conduit New Heat Pump 4 ton unit -Trane New HVAC Ductwork /supply /return/grills etc. New Insulation - Walls/Ceiling Replace Exterior Single Metal Frame and Door in Concrete Wall Replace interior double metal frame and door Repair to floor hvac vents and duct overhead double doors Replace all Electrical per specifications New mini split heat pump unit IT room New floor IT room include floor prep Bathroom renovations to ADA New sink / cabinet/water heater training room Two each drywells Remove concrete lathe walls Remove wood panel wall and framing Remove existing lighting and electrical outlets/switches all conduits -training room
