Renovation of an educational facility in Braintree, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Replacement, installation, and disposal of an RTU-2 Condenser Coil at East Middle School. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. It is the intention of this specification to arrange for the procurement of the following: replacement, installation, and disposal of an RTU-2 Condenser Coil at East Middle School. o Unit Serial Number: BNGR7 4419 o Rigging included for removal and installation of coil. o Remove all refrigerant from Circuit B. o Replace exterior condenser coil. o Replace two filter driers. o Perform nitrogen test to 550 psi and hold overnight. o On following day, evacuate system to 500 microns. o Recharge Circuit A-B with factory-specified refrigerant charge. o Test system for proper operation. o Re-commission system upon completion. o Disposal/recovery of refrigerant included. New condenser coil to be OEM-approved for AA ON unit. o All work performed in accordance with EPA and local code requirements. The specifications listed above as part of this RFQ are intended to reflect minimum standards required by the RFQ. Should the Respondent's current specifications exceed these, they shall be considered minimum and furnished. The equipment offered in the bid must be new and unused. The Bidder must furnish all equipment and accessories usually considered to be standard for the type of equipment specified. The Bidder must set forth in the space provided herein the information requested, and the bid must be accompanied by whatever published material is necessary to fully describe the equipment being offered, in sufficient detail as to enable the Town to fully evaluate the bid. Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Laws apply to all services. Pricing must include delivery costs F.O.B. delivery locations. Vendors may be required to perform a product demonstration/test of their proposed equipment before an award is made. This product demonstration/test will be held at a location within Braintree. All vendors are required to provide this demonstration/test if requested within five (5) business days of such request. All products must be new and fully serviceable, and suited to their intended use consistent with the manufacturers' specifications and representations, and any representations made by selected vendor(s). Used and previously opened items will not be accepted. Vendor is required to provide a manufacturer warranty on all purchased parts. The naming of any commercial name, trademark, or other identification shall not be construed to exclude any item or manufacturer not mentioned by name or as limiting competition, but shall establish a standard of quality only. An item equal to one or more that are named or described in the Scope of Work may be offered by a vendor. An item shall be considered equal to the item so named or described if (1) it is at least equal in quality, durability, appearance, strength and design, (2) it will perform at least equally the function imposed by the general design for the use intended, and (3) it conforms substantially to the requirements of the specifications with only minor deviations immaterial to the requirements of the preceding conditions (1) and (2). The name and manufacturer's published product specifications establishing product equality must accompany "Or Equal" quotes. Acceptance of "Or Equal" quotes shall be at the sole discretion of the Town whose decision shall be final. Payment bonds are required. The vendor shall include the cost of the bonds and permits in the bid. Questions arising from this document must be submitted email in writing. Due to the possible interference of SPAM filters, etc., vendors are responsible for ascertaining that their questions have been received prior to the deadline for questions. The Town reserves the right to disqualify any proposer that it believes to be interfering with this procurement by raising irrelevant, nuisance, or diversionary issues in order to delay or render the procurement invalid, whether timely or not. Quotes that are not prepared as required will be considered non-responsive. It is the sole responsibility of a vendor to ensure its quote is received, regardless of the manner of delivery, by the deadline.
