The Town of Duxbury (the "Town") seeks qualified bidders for the Wadsworth Tennis Court Reconstruction Project. SCOPE OF SERVICES The Town of Duxbury, through its Municipal Services Department, invites qualified vendors to submit responses for the Wadsworth Tennis Courts Reconstruction. 5.1 Overview The Town of Duxbury (the "Town") seeks qualified bidders for the Wadsworth Tennis Court Reconstruction Project. The project involves reconstructing two (2) tennis courts, including removal of the existing asphalt surface, site preparation, installation of new bitumen, painting, sealing, and striping. 5.2 Site Preparation The existing fencing, fence posts and associated foundations shall remain place. Remove and retain existing nets for reinstallation upon project completion. Remove existing asphalt and dispose of it in compliance with all local and state regulations. Remove post sleeves and footings and dispose of them properly. Prepare the site by furnishing, grading, and compacting processed gravel using a five-ton roller to ensure proper pitch and drainage. The base must be graded to achieve a 1% slope in the same direction. Perform final laser grading of the base to within 1/4 " in ten (10) feet. Supply and install new metal sleeves for the tennis posts in the new concrete footings. 5.3 Asphalt Installation Furnish and machine-install 1.5" (after compaction) State type II Bituminous Concrete Binder, and power roll to achieve maximum compaction. Furnish and machine-install 1.5" (after compaction) State type I Bituminous Concrete Top layer, and power-roll to achieve maximum compaction, producing a smooth finish. 5.4 Surface: Prime Coating System Air-clean the surface to remove debris and achieve a smooth, clean finish. Furnish and apply one (1) coat of Novasurface with a heavy sand load to fill the pores in the asphalt. Lay out the court dimensions. Invitation for Bids Title: Wadsworth Tennis Court Reconstruction 8 Furnish and apply two (2) coats of Novacrylic color coating to the entire surface according with manufacturer specifications; final color will be selected by the Town. Complete the final layout of court lines and hand-paint the lines, correcting any imperfections. 5.5 Accessories, Final Install new net posts in the metal sleeves set in the new concrete footings. Install the existing nets and center straps. Clean the site thoroughly and remove all debris and excess materials.
