Renovation of an educational facility in Summit, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
The scope of work includes providing a new mass notification fire alarm system and programming, as indicated in the project documents. Bidders are required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond for the full contract amount, submit a Bid Security of 10% with their proposal, and comply with all Illinois prevailing wage laws. All contractors and sub-contractors must have a written sexual harassment policy as per Section 2-105 of the Illinois Human Rights Act. Equal opportunity and the use of diversified businesses are promoted. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting is required for all prime bidders. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, or accept the bid deemed in the owner’s best interest, and may set aside bids from those not demonstrating experience equal to the project size and scope.
