Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Cleveland, New York. Design plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Project work includes replacement of the damaged and failing stone box culvert carrying Bridge Street over Cold Spring Brook. The replacement structure will be a box culvert and include wing walls, headwalls, and cutoff walls to mitigate issues related to scour under the culvert and erosion along steep road embankment slopes. The project also includes improvements to the roadway and roadside immediately adjacent to the culvert. These improvements include full reconstruction of the asphalt pavement section within the work area, geometric improvements to the reconstructed portion of the roadway and new guide rail over and approaching the crossing. New water and sewer infrastructure is also proposed to be installed in this project along with the culvert replacement. As of October 6, 2025, this project is in the conceptual phase. An engineer has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for bidding and construction timeline has not been established.
