Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The County of Waupaca is requesting proposals for the Replacement of an existing 60" x 32' culvert with a new 60" x 35' galvanized steel culvert on Nichols Creek The contractor is to work with Waupaca County and the Scandinavia Vikings Snowmobile Club to arrange access to the site. See attached maps for site location. The old culvert is to be removed and disposed of by the contractor. The new culvert shall be galvanized steel, 60" diameter x 35' in length. The new culvert should be embedded 4-6" into the bottom of the creek. The final surface of the trail should be about the same as it currently is with banks sloping down such that about I' of the pipe is showing on each side of the trail. The side banks of the trail shall be seeded to provide a vegetative cover to prevent erosion. The contractor must follow the terms outlined in the attached culvert replacement exemption checklist. Any proposal may be withdrawn or revised in writing prior to the deadline of proposals. opening, no proposal may be withdrawn for thirty (30) calendar days. The Owner, Waupaca County, reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals and waive all informalities or irregularities and, at its discretion, to require as a condition of acceptance of a proposal that the Proposer present information, satisfactory to Waupaca County, relating to prior experience and the Proposer's capabilities to perform the work in accordance with the contract documents.
