The Department of Land and Natural Resources Interim General Condition, dated October 1994, as amended, and the General Conditions AG008, latest revision shall be made part of the specifications. The project is located at the Kanaina Building in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii. The work shall generally consist of asphalt repair according to specifications attached, as quantified on the attached proposal and scope of work. Scope of work shall include, but not limited to, mill and repave a minimum of 2 of asphalt, repair potholes, seal cracks, paint where asphalt is raised, and install speed bumps and other incidental work required. Base Bid: Remove asphalt at Likelike Gate area, remove tree roots under raised areas, add and reprepare base course, adjust elevation of gate stops to accept gate Additive Alternate #1 Repave area in front of Mauka stairs. Restripe of area in front of Mauka stairs. Area shall be regraded to drain. Additive Alternate #2: Repave and restripe parking stall area. Additive Alternate #3: Repair potholes, seal cracks and paint where asphalt is raised in Area 1. Additive Alternate #4: Repair potholes, seal cracks and paint where asphalt is raised in Area 2. Additive Alternate #5: Repair potholes, seal cracks and paint where asphalt is raised in Area 3. Additive Alternate #6 - Repair potholes, seal cracks and paint where asphalt is raised in Area 4. Additive Alternate #7 - Install 2 each speed bumps in Area 1. To be eligible to submit a bid, the Bidder must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractor's license classification C-3 The award of the contract, if it be awarded, will be subject to the availability of funds. Since the estimated value of the cost of construction is less than $250,000, the apprenticeship agreement preference pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes $103-55.6 (ACT 17, SLH 2009) shall not apply.
