Remodeling of a mixed-use development in New Madison, Ohio. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 14,000-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; and 14,000-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
Sealed bid proposals are requested for new epoxy flake flooring on the first floor of the junior high/high school building and commons area, totaling approximately 14,000 sq. ft. The new flooring must match the existing floors in design and finish. The project involves removing existing VCT or epoxy and cove base in work areas, hauling away debris, diamond grinding to remove remaining adhesive and to achieve a csp-3 profile. Install a double broadcast polymer flake/epoxy floor system (General Polymers, Dura-Flex Sherwin Williams or Tnemenc brand) consisting of filling cracks, joints, spawls, chips, etc. with epoxy filler, 100% solids epoxy primer at 8 mil DFT, two 100% solids epoxy broadcast coats with flakes to rejection, 100% solids epoxy grout coat at 16 mil DFT, wear resistant urethane with aluminum oxide aggregate powder at 3 mil DFT, and new 4-inch rubber cove base.
