Renovation of a multi-residential development in Gadsden, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Renovation of Five Apartments Definition: Rough Carpentry includes carpentry work not specified as part ofother sections and which is generally not exposed, except as otherwise indicated. Types of work in this section include rough carpentry for: Wood framing. Wood grounds, nailers, blocking. Wood furring. Sheathing. Prefabricated wood rooftrusses. Finish Carpentry is specified in another section within Division 6. This section covers application of "Sealant" and "Caulking" as indicated on drawings and listed herein: Exterior: Install sealant around perimeter ofall exterior door and window frames. Install sealant bed under all new exterior door thresholds. Install sealant around perimeter ofall openings in exterior walls. Interior: Install sealant along both edges ofcrown moulding and baseboards as indicated on drawings. Install sealant around perimeter ofnew and existing door frames as indicated on drawings. Install sealant at new partitions as indicated on drawings. Install sealant to seal any joints or cracks indicated and/or required for appearance. Install sealant between Bathtubs and Lavatories and ceramic tile and/or walls. Install sealant between walls and ceramic tile and chair rails. Install sealant in all "Corian Joints". Install sealant all other areas indicated on drawings. The Contractor shall refer to Architectural, Mechanical, and Structural drawings and Division 15 of these specifications for related work. The work of this division shall include the furnishing of all labor, supplies, materials, sales tax, permits, inspection fees, costs of testing, shop drawings, as built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and the performing of all operations including installation, cutting and chasing, trenching and backfilling, compaction, coordination with other trades on the job, etc., to the end of obtaining a complete installation of electrical work as shown on the drawings and called for in the written specifications. The work to be performed under the electrical contract shall include, but not be limited to: 1. Service entrance conduit and wire. 2. Service entrance equipment including disconnects, switchboards, panelboards, etc. 3. Feeder conduit and wire. 4. Distribution, lighting, and miscellaneous panelboards. 5. Branch circuit conduit and wire. 6. Lighting Fixtures. 7. Wiring devices including receptacles, light switches, etc. 8. Telephone service entrance conduit, and interior conduit and outlets. 9. Fire Alarm System complete, if called for on the drawings 10. Disconnects 11. Control system conduit for mechanical contract. 12. Provision of temporary power at 120/240, single phase for construction. D. Work not included under the electrical contract: 1. Unless provided in motor control center, all motor starters and their associated control devices, heaters, etc.will be furnished with the motors under Divislon15 of these specifications. 2. Control and interlock wiring for mechanical contract supplied systems. 3. Telephone instruments and wiring 4. Cable television equipment and wiring E. The owner will not make any consideration to the contractor. for any alleged misunderstanding of the amount of work to be performed. Submittal ofa bid for work shall convey full agreement by the Contractor to all items and conditions specified, indicated on the drawings, and/or required by the nature of the job site. F. The Contractor shall be responsible for insuring that all equipment and materials are installed in a neat and workmanlike manner and are aligned, leveled and adjusted for satisfactory operation. He shall install all equipment so that all parts are easily accessible for inspection, operation, maintenance and,repair. He shall insure that all equipment is solidiy supported from building structures.
