The work consists of roof replacement, kitchen HVAC, and scratch cooking improvements at Independence Middle School for the School Board of the City of Virginia Beach. The general contract is to be awarded on a lump sum basis and includes all work as defined in the contract documents. Bids must be submitted utilizing the e-bidding feature through demandstar.com. No bids will be accepted after the specified time. The procedure for withdrawal of bids is according to state code. A pre-bid conference is scheduled at the project site, and site visits beyond the scheduled conference must be coordinated and approved by the Owner. Questions must be submitted formally using the RFI form provided in the specification manual. Bid security of at least five percent of the base bid is required.
