This project involves the complete removal and replacement of the roofing system at Buildings 1 and 2 at Grassy Waters Elementary School, including all specified repairs and installations. The work includes removal of existing roofing materials and insulation, demolition of the underlayment system, temporary removal and re-installation of mechanical equipment and electrical connections as needed, clean-up and legal disposal of all debris, creation or enlargement of thru parapet openings for new and existing overflow scuppers, inspection and repair or replacement of underlying roof structure as required, installation of new underlayment and waterproofing materials, installation of new flashing, scuppers, and accessories, removal and re-installation of the lightning protection system in accordance with required standards, and final inspection to ensure all work meets codes, specifications, and project requirements. Additional requirements include the potential for removal or modification of fencing for access, restoration of damaged areas, coordination with school activities for work scheduling, compliance with all relevant codes and specifications, and proper clean-up and disposal of project debris. All products and services within the scope may be added during the contract, with deletions and discontinuations to be reported by the vendor. Security signage is not included in the bid and should not be priced. Vendors must demonstrate bonding capacity in the amount of the advertised Construction Budget or provide evidence of such bonding capacity prior to the Bid Due Date. Each bid must include a Bid Guarantee of $80,600 in the form of a Bid Bond or Cashier's Check. All Bidders must be licensed pursuant to Chapter 489 Florida Statutes. Attendance and sign-in at a mandatory site inspection is required to be eligible to submit a bid. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond. Bids must be submitted electronically as a single file. Only vendors attending the mandatory onsite visit may submit a bid.
