Pumps or Pump stations Q&A 10/09/2025 at 5:00 PM CT This item shall consist of changing the two (2) Base Bid Vertical Turbine Pumps and the one (1) Alternate No. 1 Bid Vertical Turbine Pump from the bid price, and subsequently providing and installing three (3) Vertical Turbine Solids Handling pumps. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required and install, place in operation and field test three (3) VERTICAL TURBINE SOLIDS HANDLING (VTSH) pumps and motors and coordinated speed control system as specified in Division 16 ofthese specifications. These Specifications are intended to give a general description of what is required, but do not cover all details which will vary in accordance with the requirements of the equipment application. It is, however, intended to cover the furnishing, the shop testing, the delivery and complete installation and field testing, of all materials, equipment and all appurtenances for the complete pumping units as herein specified, whether specifically mentioned in these Specifications or not. The project consists of the installation of one (1) pump station on the western quadrant of the lot and the excavation of a detention pond near the center to east side of the lot. It is anticipated that the pump station excavation depth will be on the order of twenty-five (25) feet. The excavation of the proposed pond is anticipated to be completed on the order of ten (10) to fifteen (15) feet depth. This report presents the results of the geotechnical exploration performed for the proposed pump station and detention pond excavation on the east side of Georgia Street and the west end of the dead end side of Burroughs Street in Monroe, Louisiana. The construction is proposed to be completed within a vacant lot at the described location. The general areas of the additional exploration are indicated on the attached Boring Location Diagram.
