This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Decatur, Georgia. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
Portions of the Atlanta Metropolitan Transportation Planning Area are in maintenance for both ozone and PM2.5 standards under the Clean Air Act under the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. Because of this designation, the region must look toward better development practices that support increased use of transportation modes other than single occupant vehicles (SOV) to help reduce emissions and meet air quality requirements. The LCI Program seeks to increase the use of alternatives to driving alone by developing transportation projects and other programs to improve accessibility, expand mixed-uses, utilize transit and support further development in the study area. Evaluation of the existing structure and development of likely scenarios should produce recommendations for future investment that support ARC's Livable Centers Initiative Program. Improving safety and walkability will result in increases of the alternatives to driving alone. DeKalb County Government (the County) requests qualified individuals and firms with experience in planning, zoning ordinances/development regulations, market analysis, and community engagement, with an emphasis on both regional and local project experience to submit proposals for the Kensington LCI Master Plan Study Update. The County seeks a consultant to develop the Kensington LCI Master Plan, focusing on the approximately 870-acre Kensington LCI area in unincorporated Decatur, Georgia, beyond the 35-acre TOD (Transit-Oriented Development) area. This plan update will reflect the area's growth and transformation over the past decade and will emphasize redevelopment opportunities, particularly for a large County-owned catalytic site (Government Center) located near the Kensington MARTA station. The study will be based on this defined geographic area and will inform all project activities and recommendations. Services shall commence within ten (10) calendar days following written notice to proceed and must be completed within one (1) year. Question Submission Deadline: October 17, 2025, 5:00pm. The County reserves the right to make one (1) award or multiple awards. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
