The Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking a pre-qualified firm for the demolition and removal of improvements, structures, or other encumbrances in the right of way or easement areas. The department will select the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder based on analysis of bid prices received. Bidders must ensure timely submission of bids and are responsible for monitoring the solicitation for updates. A restriction on communication is in effect, prohibiting contact with GDOT staff regarding the solicitation or scope except as described in the instructions. Violation of this restriction may lead to rejection of the submittal. Firms not prequalified will not be considered for award. The Georgia Department of Transportation has adopted a 15% overall annual goal for DBE participation on all projects The Performance and Payment Bond shall be provided to the Department in the amount of 100 percent (%) of the total bid price, utilizing theDepartments form, GDOT Form-SP404, Performance and Payment Bonds, this contract are subject to forfeiture by the Department as liquidated damages and that a penalty of $500.00 will be imposed for each day beyond the thirty (30) day limit on this project. Contract Term and Type GDOT anticipates one (1) award to one (1) firm, for the project/contract identified For violation of this provision, GDOT reserves the right to reject the submittal of the offending Respondent.
