The Town of Plainfield is soliciting bids from vendors to compliment the Town of Plainfield snow removal fleet. This will be a total season price. This will be small areas such as parking lots. The Town will provide sand and salt to the successful candidate. Qualified candidates must be insured and attain all proper equipment. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids that are not in the best interest of the Town of Plainfield. The Town of Plainfield is an equal opportunity employer. Insurance Requirements Certificate of Insurance showing coverage shall be filed with the Finance Director on behalf of the Town by the successful bidder. Site Conditions Bidders should familiarize themselves to these locations. Plowing at: Aldrich Library, Moosup,CT, Moosup Little League parking lot and track, Police Department 210 Norwich Road; Atwood Fire Station, Wauregan, CT; Central Village Fire Station Central Village, CT; Moosup Fire Station, Moosup, CT; Plainfield Fire Station, Plainfield, CT. Also, Lori Drive, Marie Street, Charlotte Drive, Fry Hill, Colin Drive, Palmer Court, Torrey Lane, Carey Avenue, South Chestnut, South Walnut, Third Street, Second Street, First Street, Front Street, North Walnut, North Chestnut, North Cross, Fountain Street, Grove Street, Atwood Lane, Old Putnam Road, Old Putnam Road Extension, Jolley Road, Pine Crest Drive, Basley Road and Arbor Lane. Equipment Bidders need to disclose their equipment that will be used to complete this task. Rejection/Cancellation of Bids The First Selectman reserves the right to cancel the bidding process prior to the established opening date and time, if such action is deemed to be in its best interest to do so. Moreover, the First Selectman reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part of any or all bids, if it is in its best interest to do so. Contract Term The bidder agrees to all the terms and conditions of this invitation to bid. The successful bidder will submit a contract that does not supersede or change the terms of this invitation to bid. Please return this signed bid invitation with your bid.
