A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Project consists of new construction and related sitework for a new Fire Headquarters for Plainfield Volunteer Fire Company #1 to be located at 12 Railroad Avenue, Plainfield, CT. 1. Work covered in this section shall include the testing of areas and spaces at the project site for airborne fibers. All testing in this section shall be conducted by a qualified Air Monitoring Technician by Environmental Consultant. 2. The following testing will be included within the scope of work of the Air Monitoring Technician. 3. Final Clearance Monitoring - air sampling to verify that a previously contaminated area is within the acceptable limit of fibrous contamination and in compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations. 4. Safety Monitoring - air monitoring to determine is a previously uncontaminated area has become contaminated with fibrous material. 5. Work Area Monitoring - air monitoring in an area where asbestos-containing materials are being removed, or in an area which is being cleaned after asbestos removal but before final clearance monitoring. 6. Exposure Monitoring - Excursion and Personnel air monitoring of a worker to determine accurately the airborne concentrations of asbestos to which the work may be exposed as indicated in OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1926.1101 are the responsibility of the abatement contractor.
