The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources - Parks and Recreation Section is soliciting bids to establish a contract for wastewater treatment plant repairs at Panther State Forest located in Panther, WV. Bids are for providing waste water and sewage treatment plant construction service for Panther State Forest WWTP Repairs. All bids must be submitted electronically via wvOASIS Vendor Self Service (VSS). A. Project Name: Panther State Forest Wastewater Treatment Cleanout and Repair B. Location: Panther Creek Road Panther, WV 24872 37 26' 17"N 81 52' 24"W C. Owner's Name: West Virginia Division of Natural Resources D. The project generally consists of removal of flood debris and clean-up of the existing wastewater treatment plant and replacement of components needed to make the plant operational again. Plant is located at the Group Camp facility at Panther State Forest in McDowell County, WV. 2. PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources is soliciting bids on behalf of Panther State Forest for EMERGENCY repair and refit work to be performed on the Group Camp Wastewater Treatment Plant. The plant is an ASHCO recirculating sand bed system with chlorine disinfection. A copy of the As-Built plans have been included for illustration purposes only and do not stand as design/ construction drawings. Bid price should include all items listed below. Issues to be repaired are as detailed below: A. Cleanout all debris, rock, sludge, dirt mud or otherwise not required materials that have been deposited into any and all tanks, beds, pipes etc for the system from the recent flooding event. B. Inspect all tanks, lines, concrete work, seals, penetrations, connecting lines, pumps, and distribution lines as they are uncovered during cleanout. Any damaged or deficient components will immediately be brought to the attention of the OWNER and will be further inspected, repaired or replaced as separate line items or by others. C. Replace all schedule 40 PVC lines that are present in recirculating sand beds and interior tanks to make all beds and tanks operational again. D. Replace all media and bedding materials in recirculating sand beds with media as specified in original and as-built designs, (see Attached) and in the manner as specified in the original plan. E. Repair all fencing and install new items where needed, clean and regrade the immediate adjacent area to shed drainage properly and produce a clear and workable site.
