The purpose of this contract is to assist BCTS in meeting its legal reforestation by planting approximately 460,560 trees and 249,480 fertilizer teabags in the Prince George Business Area. Summer tree planting must be completed by August 7th, 2026. Refer to Schedule B1 for specific prescribed seedling information. Access comments in the Schedule B1 are for guidance only. If there are seedling allocation or area discrepancies between planting maps and the Schedule B1, then the Schedule B1 will be the primary source of information for bidding. Please review the contract in full, including all Schedules, before submitting a bid package. Some of the key highlights include: o It is the contractor's responsibility to complete permitting for any silviculture camps on crown land, such as acquiring a special use permit (SUP) to occupy a gravel pit. If the successful contractor will be setting up a camp that requires a SUP, then the contractor should begin that process as soon as possible since it may take several months to obtain a permit. o Summer trees will be the Contractor's responsibility to make arrangements for the delivery of seedlings from a nursery to Payment Areas. The Province will reimburse the Contractor for the costs to ship seedlings from a non-local nursery to Prince George. The Ministry Representative must approve the transportation rate prior to shipping. The Contractor must provide, at minimum, three shipping quotes to the Ministry Representative before approval. o Survey data to support regen declarations is to be collected and summarized by Standard Unit not Planting Unit.
