Renovation of an educational facility in Northfield, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 40,343-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids pursuant to applicable law and waive any minor immaterial informalities in the bidding process in accordance with the law. The Contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Owner. TO NORTHFIELD COMMUNITY SCHOOL o Alterations to the Media Center including Small Group Instruction classrooms, new furniture and equipment o Alterations and Renovations to Boys and Girls Locker Room areas o Renovations to all single-user and multi-stall Toilet Rooms o Creation of an enclosed Security Vestibule o Replacement of cracked and uneven Corridor flooring o Replacement of water heaters o Upgrade electrical service and switchgear. o Replacement or hollow metal exterior doors with fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) doors o Replacement of gutters and downspouts Should you have any questions, please contact the Architect s office at bidding@spiezle.com. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms provided in the manner designated and must comply with all requirements contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids shall be placed in a sealed envelope with the name of the project clearly marked on the front of the envelope and accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier s Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent 10% of the bid, but not more than $20,000. Should any questions arise as to the true meaning of any item noted on the Drawings, Specifications, or other Contract Documents, the Bidder will immediately forward a request in writing to the Architect for interpretation, are requested at least ten (10) business days, Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays excepted prior to the date fixed for the opening of Bids Subcontractors named in the Form of Bid Proposal for Structural Steel, Plumbing, Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning, and/or Electric, who perform any work on the Project must be prequalified prior to the submission of bids, pursuant to the State of New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC). Each bid must be accompanied by proof of Contractor s DPMC classification status. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., The Law Against Discrimination, and affirmative action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.AC. 17:27-1 et seq. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. It is encouraged that all bids be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act to the Bidder and all subcontractors named in the Contractor s bid. If not included with the bid, these documents must be submitted prior to contract award. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:32-44, it is encouraged that all bids include a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue of the Bidder and include that of all subcontractors named in the Contractor s bid. If not included with the bid, these documents must be submitted prior to contract award.
