Renovation of a residential development in Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade residential development.
The County of Peoria is accepting qualification statements and proposals from qualified vendors for the HUD Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Project FY26. Submissions must be sealed, include one signed original and two copies, and be delivered to the Purchasing Division at 324 Main Street, Room 501, Peoria, Illinois, 61602, by 2:00 p.m. on November 6, 2025. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope or package, marked with the RFQ name and number, as well as the due date and time. The vendor's name and return address should be included on the outside. Faxed submissions will not be accepted. Late submissions will not be considered. Statements and proposals will be opened and respondents publicly recorded immediately following the closing time set for receipt of submissions. In November of 2024, the Peoria City/County Health Department (PC/CHD) received $6 million from the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Supplemental funding. Contractors applying for PC/CHD's Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes program are subject to HUD guidelines, policies, and rules as well as federal, state and local laws. PC/CHD estimates 240 projects to be completed by September 30, 2028 or until all funds have been exhausted.
