Demolition and site work for a water / sewer project in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Question Deadline 10/29/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The work will be performed in multiple phases for the replacement of ozone generation and feed systems at the Horseshoe Curve and Kettle water treatment facilities. The project includes demolition of ozone-related equipment and installation of new liquid oxygen (LOX) storage and feed gas preparation and piping systems, new ozone generators, closed-loop cooling water system, side-stream injection and mixing systems, nitrogen-boost system, ozone gas destructors, mechanical piping, electrical work, instrumentation and control systems and all required appurtenances. The project also includes replacement of chemical bulk tanks and electrical equipment at the Horseshoe Curve Facility. The ozone generating equipment system and liquid oxygen equipment systems will be furnished by the Altoona Water Authority for installation and/or interconnection by the Contractor under separate manufacturer procurement contracts. A conditional notice-to-proceed will be issued based on the project milestones set forth in the contract agreement.
