Project entire budget, including alternates, has an anticipated range of $800,000 to $1,200,000 Sealed bids are requested for the City of Opelousas Library Renovation, identified as Project Number 20231023. Bidders must register electronically to access bid documents and to ensure inclusion for addendum distribution. Both physical and electronic submissions are accepted, and all electronic registration and submission is free of charge to bidders. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security equal to five percent (5.0%) of the total bid including all alternates, following the specified format. The successful bidder is required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. All bidders must have an active UEI Number verified on www.sam.gov prior to construction, and comply with all federal, state, and local requirements related to employment conditions, minimum wage, Section 3, Executive Order 11246, and bonding and insurance standards. The contractor must begin mobilization and procurement within ten working days from the Notice to Proceed. Only contractors licensed in the classification of Building Construction may submit bids. Bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five days following bid opening. The owner reserves rights to reject any or all bids for cause, and contract award is contingent upon availability of funding.
