Renovation of a water / sewer project in Washington, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Question Deadline 11/06/2025 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Sr. Project Manager Email: bhumphrey@riversandassociates.com EPA MBE/WBE participation goals: MBE 10.9% WBE 10.4% The project consists of rehabilitating the existing Cherry Run Pump Station with two (2) new 300GPM pumps, extending the existing 12-force main serving Cherry Run and other west side pump stations by 1,380 linear feet (LF) along Plymouth Street and tie-in to the existing 18-inch force main at the WWTP, and replace approximately 2,200 LF of existing 12-inch cast iron force main and 4,400 LF of existing 8-inch cast ion/asbestos cement force main with new PVC force main of the same size. Bids must be submitted on the complete project. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the City of Washington, 102 E. Second Street, P.O. Box 1988, Washington, NC 27889 and the outside of the envelope must be marked "Bid for City of Washington - Cherry Run Pump Station Rehabilitation & 5th Street Force Main Replacement". All bids must be made on blank forms provided and included in the bound document. The name, address, and license number with limitation and classification of the Bidder must be plainly marked thereon. Contractors are notified that North Carolina G.S. 87 relating to licensing of contractors will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM local time, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined online at the office of the Public Works Director, City of Washington, 102 E. Second Street, 2nd floor, Washington, NC 27889. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to "Rivers & Associates, Inc.". Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
