The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. LOCATION OF WORK A. The Work of this contract is to be located in the City of Waterbury, Connecticut at the Water Pollution Control Facility, 210 Municipal Road, Waterbury, CT 06708. A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the Sludge System Improvements Project at the Water Pollution Control Facility. B. The work of the project is defined by the Contract Documents and as follows 1. Removal and replacement of process equipment associated with the Thickened Primary Sludge Pumps, Belt Filter Press Sludge Pumps, Belt Wash Water Pumps, Polymer Feed Pumps, Polymer Transfer Pumps and refurbishment of the Dewatered Cake Conveyor. This includes but not limited to the Variable Frequency Drives for all six Sludge Pumps, Mechanical piping and valves for same and all electrical wiring and control stations as designated in Sheet Series 20, 30, 40, 50 and 99. 2. Demolition of the Primary Plant water skid, associated strainer, associated mechanical piping and electrical components as designated in Sheet Series 10 and 99. C. Only sub-project(s) that are selected by the Owner, as evidenced in the Agreement, shall be made part of this Contract. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents must be submitted to the CITYs ProcureWare website by October 23, 2025 2:00PM. The scope of work consists of Replacement of six (6) existing plunger style sludge pumps with six (6) new rotary lobe pumps, replacement of two (2) polymer transfer pumps, replacement of three (3) polymer metering feed pumps, replacement of three (3) belt washwater pumps and rebuilding of one sludge conveyor. The scope also includes all necessary process piping replacement, replacement of 6 and 8 plug valves and all necessary electrical work including replacement of each pumps variable frequency drives.
