Renovation of a library in Camas, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 10,672-square-foot, one-story above grade library.

The scope of services includes interior renovation of the library per the contract documents and technical specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to, non-structural partitions, floor, wall, and ceiling finishes, casework, built-up flooring, redistribution of HVAC in Children's Library, interior lighting, interior power distribution, associated demolition, and any related components shown within the plans and technical specifications to provide a complete and functional installation. Bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent of the bid proposal. Bids must be submitted in envelopes marked with the bidder's name, project title, and project number at the specified time and address. Access to project bid documents is available through Builders Exchange of Washington (BXWA). It is recommended that bidders register to receive notifications of addenda. Bids from bidders not listed on the self-registered bidders list may be returned unopened. The contractor must comply with prevailing wage requirements for Clark County. The City encourages the use of American-made products and participation of disadvantaged, minority, women-owned, and small businesses. Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Civil Rights Act, and E-Verify requirements is mandatory. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive minor irregularities or informalities. Work shall include but is not limited to non-structural partitions, floor, wall, and ceiling finishes, casework, built-up flooring, redistribution of HVAC in Children's Library, interior lighting, interior power distribution, associated demolition and any related components shown within the plans and technical specifications to provide a complete and functional installation. o Camas Public Library shall remain open during the entirety of the project. Contractor to maintain operation of the existing systems during construction and shall sequence demolition and construction schedule. Occupancy interruptions require owner notice of not less than 72 hours. Plan construction operations to accommodate construction, infection control, safety regulations, emergency egress, work by separate contracts, work by owner, and first responder public access to public right-of-way, site, and existing facilities. o Contractor to remove the following before construction starts and reinstall when complete: furnishings and bookstacks. o Items noted NIC - Not in Contract - will be furnished and installed by the Owner. o Equipment or parts scheduled for removal shall become property of the Contractor unless noted otherwise in the construction plans and technical specifications. o Prohibit smokeless tobacco, smoking, and vaping within buildings and within 25 feet of building exterior. Prohibit controlled substances on site.
