Renovation of a power facility in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
The Town of Antigonish (TOA) is seeking proposals from a reputable supplier for a station battery and charger as part of a grid modernization project. The project work will provide a 30-40 MVA capacity with redundancy once the sub-station is fully commissioned with all electrical equipment that will be attached to the steel structures. Scope of Work Supply only (installation by others) of: One (1) station battery bank (60 cells, 125Vdc, IEEE 485 sizing, full discharge recovery, 8-hour rate). One (1) battery charger (125Vdc, float/equalize/recharge in 8 hours while supplying load). Includes: Battery rack, interconnecting copper bus links. Charger features: temperature compensation, ripple filter (<2% RMS), AC/DC breakers, alarms (AC/DC failure, ground detector, high/low voltage), reverse polarity protection, blocking diode, equalize timer, meters, shielding against RFI.
