Renovation of a medical facility in East Fayetteville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Scope of work includes: The contractor shall verify existing conditions, dimensions, and UPS specifications to ensure code compliance and proper installation. Contractor shall verify all work during pre-bid to ensure no change orders arise. Contractor shall cleanup work area and work areas shall be free of any debris during & after construction. Contractor shall coordinate schedule with Owners (Cumberland County). Contractor shall communicate with owners on schedule, timelines, and provide oversite over project. The contractor shall coordinate, obtain all proper permits and inspections required. The contractor shall submit a written plan attached to bid to effectively limit the duration of interruption for existing UPS loads and provided a not to exceed time for load interruption during the installation process. The contractor shall demo and dispose of existing UPS including battery cabinet. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor and materials to install a new basis of design Schneider Electric Galaxy VS UPS Solution or a like unit that matches the manufacture's specifications below: Power rating- 60KVA/KW System input- 480V/3PH (3wire+Ground) System Output- 120/208V/3PH (4 Wire+Ground) Battery back up capacity- Minimum 63 Minutes The contractor may reuse existing input conductors along with load side conductors and shall only use new wiring, if necessary, from the feeder disconnect to the UPS and from the UPS to the distribution panel in a workmanlike manner. The contractor shall send submittals over to Owners (Cumberland County) prior to installation. The UPS shall comply with all proper codes. The UPS shall be installed as a separately derived system in accordance with proper codes. The contractor shall test the UPS and verify expected operation and performance. The contractor shall have the new UPS inspected and furnish related permit paperwork. The contractor shall provide basic training to Cumberland County Staff on the use and functions of UPS. The contractor shall provide factory start-up documentation of the UPS in order to verify all work has been completed properly to satisfy the requirements for the warranty. A 5% bid bond is not required for this project Performance and Payment Bonds are not required for this project. All Contractors are notified that North Carolina Statutory provisions as to licensing for Contractors will be observed in receiving, reading, and awarding of contracts. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded must comply with the requirements of G.S. Section 143-131, as amended. Project must be complete and turned over to Cumberland County prior to December 30, 2025.
