The City is soliciting formal bids for the construction of traffic and pedestrian safety improvements for the Manassas Drive Systemic Safety Enhancements project under the Virginia Highway Safety Improvement Program (VHSIP) within the Manassas Driv e corridor within the City limits. Safety improvements include items such as new pedestrian crossings, pedestrian sidewalk upgrades, rapid flashing beacons, curbing and bulb outs, signs and markings, and lighting improvements. Bidders and subcontractors must be prequalified with VDOT to be considered responsive bidders on this project. A copy of the bidder's VDOT Certificate of Qualifications must be submitted with the bid documents. A bid bond of 5% and performance and payment bonds in the amount of the contract are required.
