Provide all labor, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform janitorial services at WLSSD facilities. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, appropriately marked “Janitorial Services – WLSSD Bid Number 1503”, and addressed to the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference and site tour is required for bids to be considered responsive; required personal protective equipment for the tour includes hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, hi-vis vest, and mask. Bidders may also request tours of additional facilities by email and are responsible for their own transportation. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond payable to the District in the amount of $10,000, which will be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to promptly carry out the bid or enter into contract or bond if required. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the District. No bid may be withdrawn after submission until award and execution unless delayed for more than sixty-one calendar days.
