Resource Renew operates three major pump stations. These are the Cloquet Pump Station, the Scanlon Pump Station, and the Knowlton Creek Pump Station. These pump stations are approaching 50 years old and are in need or rehabilitation, replacement, or relocation. The Cloquet Pump Station was originally constructed in 1976. In 2018 there was a rehabilitation project that was generally restricted to the structure and ducting of the superstructure. The Pump station is located on the Sappi Paper Mill site and receives flow from Sappi and the city of Cloquet and additional areas to the west. This Pump Station has a total capacity of 36.0 MGD and has four 200 horsepower pumps in a dry well. Recent average flows have been around 18.5 MGD. The Pump Station is connected to a storage pond and has the ability to discharge to the pond or the forcemain. The storage pond is to be rehabilitated as part of a separate project. There is no work associated with the storage pond as part of this project. The Scanlon Pump Station was originally constructed in 1975. In 2009 there was a project which constructed permanent flow diversion structures upstream and downstream of the station, wet well improvements and rehabilitation, and process piping improvements. The Pump Station is located at 3209 Highway 61 in Scanlon, MN. The Pump Station receives flow from the Cloquet Pump Station, The Carlton Pump Station, as well as the city of Scanlon. This Pump Station has a total capacity of 46.0 MGD and has three 600 horsepower pumps in a dry well. Recent average flows have been around 19.5 MGD. The Knowlton Creek Pump Station was originally constructed in 1975. The Pump Station is located at 8500 Bayhill Drive in Duluth, MN. The Pump Station receives flow from the Scanlon Pump Station, and the Proctor Interceptor. This pump station has a total capacity of 49.0 MGD and has three 500 horsepower pumps in a dry well. To facilitate Resource Renew's selection of a consultant, we are requesting that interested parties submit their proposals in accordance with the requirements of this Request for Proposals (RFP). This RFP describes the project, anticipated scope of services, qualifications, and consultant selection process. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
