Site work and new construction of a parking garage in Norfolk, Virginia. Completed plans call civil work for a parking garage.
The project involves the design-build construction of a 450-500 space multi-level, free-standing open parking garage located on City-owned property at 100 East Street, bordered by East Main Street and adjacent properties owned by the City of Norfolk and the Commonwealth of Virginia. The parking garage is intended to serve transient, permit, and event customers patronizing the City Hall and Harbor Park area. The garage will include access and revenue control equipment, office space, and other parking support features. Site work will require connection of water, sewer, power, and other utilities as necessary, as well as landscaping and the installation of concrete walkways for access. The Owner seeks Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from experienced general contractors, construction management companies, design-build teams, and/or architect-engineer firms with relevant experience in similar facilities to provide turn-key design and construction services. Work is desired to be substantially complete within 16 months from Notice to Proceed. The total estimated cost of the design and construction is approximately $15,000,000.
