Question Response Deadline:May 26, 2026, 5:00pm Project Scope The work under this project consists of the removal of the City of Norfolk Pump Station No. 27 building and appurtenances located at 101North Shore Road and its replacement at the adjacent lot 107 North Shore Road. All existing dry utilities serving the existing site shall be removed. The existing force main shall be removed from the existing site and gravity sanitary sewer on site shall be abandoned with flowable fill. The existing force main within city right of way up to the proposed connection point shall be abandoned in place with flowable fill or removed when in conflict with proposed work. This project includes the installation of a triplex pumping configuration, on-site permanent bypass pump, emergency pump suction and discharge connections for temporary bypass pump, force main connection to existing 20" force main, wet well, dry well, station building, flow meter vault, splitter box, sanitary sewer required for flow reconveyance from existing to proposed site, and all associated improvements: grading, landscaping, driveway, site bollards, and fencing. Key Changes from prior advertisement: Shallowing the influent pipe, wet well, and dry well Modifying the below ground piping Protecting the existing storm sewer (vs. prior replacement) Changing from deep foundation to a mat foundation for the below grade structures Discrepancies, omissions or doubts as to the meaning of the Contract Documents shall be communicated in writing to the Owner for interpretation.
