The work under this contract includes: The College of Eastern Idaho is expanding its programs to better serve the community. To better serve students, the College has moved the Diesel Program to Building 2, William A. Robertson Building. The need has been identified to update this space to better serve the students and accommodate the projected growth of this program by remodeling the open-air shop into a diesel shop. This project is a construction remodel of Rooms 200, 202, and 205 in Building 2 at CEI's main campus with the following design considerations Approximately 6,000 total building square feet in an existing building Main Floor with the inclusion of the spaces for the following functions/features: Remodeling open shop to function as a new diesel mechanical shop with the following updates New exhaust system for the diesel mechanical shop New 220 V Outlets New electrical panels New electrical box Demolition identified in this plan includes the removal and replacement of the existing exhaust fan and its controls, as well as the updating of existing fans and controls for proper air circulation. Additionally, rerouting and adding to the existing air lines, replacing the electrical panels and fan switch, and relocating the electrical box and mechanical power are also part of the demolition. This project will require verification of the existing mechanical HVAC and electrical system and circuits and incorporation of the redesign as provided in the planning documents to support the new layout.
