The project involves the removal of one boiler and the installation of two boilers and associated equipment. The full scope of the project is defined in the Contract Documents. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in the category (C032) HVACR. Subcontractors must also be prequalified, or documentation of their prequalification must be included, for the category (C047) ELECTRICAL. Bidders and subcontractors for major branches of work must be prequalified by the DPMC and must submit relevant certificates and affidavits concerning the total amount of uncompleted contracts. No modifications to the Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Supplemental Conditions, or Specifications will be accepted, except by addenda. Bids that propose modifications to requirements will be rejected as non-responsive. Bidders are required to comply with applicable statutes and regulations regarding affirmative action, public works contractor registration, business registration, and ownership disclosure. Bids must include a bid security (bid bond or certified/cashier's check) equal to 10% of the bid amount (maximum $20,000) and a Certificate of Consent of Surety. All bidders must also submit documentation that they are not on the list of debarred contractors. Only the successful bidder will be required to provide additional certifications prior to award.
