Remodeling of a military facility in Tahoe City, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
Remodel an approximately 230 square foot galley-style kitchen at USCG Station Lake Tahoe to match the existing layout. Work includes removing and replacing all cabinets, installing a new government-furnished commercial range, and replacing the kitchen sink. Additionally, remove existing mixed flooring throughout the approximately 3,424 square foot administrative building (excluding bathrooms) and install new commercial-grade, hardwearing waterproof luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring. The final flooring color will be selected by the technical point of contact. The contractor must coordinate with the technical point of contact to schedule work in a way that minimizes disruption to station operations. All work must be performed between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, unless otherwise authorized. The contractor is responsible for daily cleanup and restoring all construction areas to their original condition upon completion. All waste must be disposed of in accordance with industry standards and environmental regulations. The government will provide electricity, parking, and laydown area; however, bathroom facilities will not be available to contractor personnel. Tasks include mobilization, removal and storage of appliances, demolition of kitchen and flooring, subfloor preparation, installation of new flooring and kitchen components, reinstallation of appliances, disposal of old materials, and demobilization. Location: USCG Station Lake Tahoe, 2500 Lake Forest Rd, Tahoe City, CA 96145-0882. As required by FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. TASKS 1. Mobilization: Mobilize all necessary equipment and personnel to perform the tasks. 2. Remove range and dispose. 3. Relocate refrigerators for temporary use during kitchen renovation. Remove and store dishwasher. 4. Remove kitchen cabinets, sink, and countertops from the approximately 230 sq ft kitchen. 5. Remove existing mixed flooring throughout the approximately 3,424 sq ft admin building (with exception of bathrooms). 6. Prep subfloor for installation of new flooring. 7. Install new commercial grade, hardwearing waterproof LVP and required trim to finish throughout (with exception of bathrooms). Color to be approved by Technical POC. 8. Install new commercial-grade kitchen cabinets, heavy gauge stainless steel sink, new stainless-steel countertops, plumbing fixtures, and all trim work required to complete installation to match the existing layout. All colors and finishes to be approved by Technical POC. 9. Install new government-furnished range. 10. Reinstall existing refrigerators and dishwasher. 11. Disposal: Dispose of old equipment and materials in accordance with industry standards and applicable environmental regulations. 12. Demobilization: Remove all contractor-owned equipment and personnel from the site, ensuring the area is returned to its original condition.
