AVWTP BWRB Rehabilitation Project The work consists of demolishing the existing masonry walls and metal roof cover surrounding the existing Backwash Recovery Building inlet structure and constructing new cast in place concrete walls and sloped roof with monolithic curb and equipment hatch with apron mount. A new light will be installed in the new concrete enclosure including required new conduit, conductors, and switch as specified. The project will also replace the existing Backwash Recovery Building inlet structure slide gates and actuators, solids pumps/recovered water pumps with associated valving, solids and recovered water main header valves, and select sections of existing piping with new grooved couplings as specified. The project will also replace existing pump gauges in kind and electrical conductors (power and control) in kind for the existing slide gates, pumps, and actuated valves. In addition, work includes removing the existing buried diesel fuel lines between the existing two fuel storage tanks and two emergency generators, constructing new cast in place concrete diesel fuel line trenches with removable covers, installing new diesel fuel lines from the fuel tanks to the generators and connecting the new fuel lines to the existing fuel lines as required. Removal of existing buried diesel fuel lines shall be performed by or supervised by a Utah certified underground storage tank (UST) remover. Pre-qualification requirements: Contractor preapproval is required by Owner and only preapproved Bidders will be allowed to submit a sealed Bid.
