This Request for Qualifications is for the purpose of selecting an Electrical Engineer for Design Services for the Statewide Communications System Upgrades project, located at the DSHS facilities across the State of Washington. This scope of work includes design and construction administration services. The intent is to modernize the telecommunications infrastructure at the following DSHS locations, listed in approximate prioritization: 1. Maple Lane (ML) 2. Olympic Heritage Behavior Health (OHBH) 3. Fircrest School (FS) 4. Eastern State Hospital (ESH) 5. Lakeland Village (LV) 6. Pine Lodge (PL) 7. Yakima Valley School (YVS) 8. Western State Hospital (WSH) 9. Child Study and Treatment Center (CSTC) 10. Rainier School (RS) 11. Special Commitment Center – McNeil Island (SCC) 12. King County Secure Community Transition Facility (KC SCTF) 13. Pierce County Secure Community Transition Facility (PC SCTF) Based on the recently completed pre-design assessments of each facility, the following work is expected: 1. Demolish obsolete telecommunications cabling infrastructure. 2. Remodel, retrofit, or construct new Telecommunications Rooms (TRs) in buildings with associated power, cooling, grounding, bonding, and cable management supporting systems. 3. Install new telecommunications cabling and pathways to new telecom spaces; consisting of pathways from existing Entrance Facilities (EF) to existing TRs within each building.
