Work To Be Done: The work to be done shall consist of furnishing materials and constructing the project titled Highway 49 - Water System Extension - Phases 2, 3 & 4. The major items of construction include 12" water main; 2" water main; gate valves; fire hydrants; water services; and miscellaneous appurtenances. The work is considered an expansion of the water distribution system. All work shall be done in accordance with the plans and specifications. Bidders MUST acquire Bidding Documents from the Engineer to bid this project. Bonds: All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. Each bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing. Funding: Any Contract or Contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are to be funded through Local Funds and the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
