Sealed bids are sought for all tools, labor, and materials for traffic signal upgrades, sidewalk, and curb ramp improvements in Fremont, Nebraska. Contractors must obtain plans, specifications, and contract documents directly from the designated provider. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in the amount of not less than five percent of the bid price. Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds equal to one hundred percent of the contract price are required for one year past project completion. Validity of bids is set for sixty days. The successful bidder must submit an acceptable Affirmative Action Statement and Program within ten days of award. Work must start promptly after contract execution and be substantially complete by June 15, 2026, with sod and restoration by October 16, 2026. Liquidated damages apply for late completion. All work must comply with the city's Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, latest edition. Clearance from the State of Nebraska Department of Labor regarding Unemployment Compensation Fund payments is required before final payment on the last three percent of the contract."
