Sealed bid packages will be received for a single overall contract and all work incidental thereto. All applicable Federal, State, and Municipal laws, ordinances, rules and regulations apply, including those regarding Affirmative Action, as well as requirements pertaining to "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act" and the "Public School Contract Laws." Pre-qualification requirements: Bidders and all general construction contractors and subcontractors must be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, and possess a valid and current Notice of Classification prior to the time and date that bids are received. The bidder or its subcontractor shall be classified in C008: General Construction or C009: General Construction/Alterations and Additions. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond drawn to the Order of the Board of Education for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000. Each bidder must submit a Certificate of Consent of Surety. Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and to possess a current certification indicating compliance with the Act. Proof of registration with the State of New Jersey, Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, for both the bidder and named subcontractors, must be included with the bid submission.
