Demolition for a multi-residential development in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a multi-residential development.

The project was broken down into six individual properties. Piccolomini got two and Safeco got four as noted in the email below. Piccolomini Contractors, Inc. was low for: 39 Whiteman Ave. at $9,800. and 352 E. Main Street at $7,900. Safeco Services was low for: 48 Stewart Ave. at $14,999. 57 Pershing Ave. at $15,299. 218 N. Gallatin Ave. at $19,999. 87 Mifflin Ave. at $7,499. The bidders have been added. Please refer to the bid tabulation for detailed results Sealed bids are invited for residential demolition at six locations. Bid packages are to be delivered in person; faxed or emailed bids are not accepted. Bid documents can be examined at K2 Engineering, Inc. or the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Uniontown. Contractors may visit the sites as they wish. Each bid must include a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check for at least 10% of the bid amount. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informality. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days. Bidders must submit a non-collusion affidavit, an MBE/WBE Section 3 Contract Solicitation and Commitment Statement, and follow all Community Development Block Grant Program rules and related federal and state regulations. If a contract for any individual site exceeds $25,000, PA Prevailing Wage applies. Contract requirements include compliance with labor wage rates, nondiscrimination in hiring, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, Section 3 participation, illegal alien employment prohibition, and other related standards. Contractors and subcontractors must comply with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and all applicable regulations and executive orders. Bidders must not be debarred from federally funded contracts. A minimum participation level of 5% for MBE and 3% for WBE is required. Section 3 goals require 10% of contract value to Section 3 businesses, with priority to local businesses, trainees, employees, and low-moderate income persons. Bidders must document and submit evidence of outreach and commitments to minority, women, and Section 3 businesses. Question Deadline 10/29/2025 at 5:00 PM Questions regarding this project shall be submitted electronically via email to jimmarmol@k2engineering.net. 1 Demolition of six (6) various residential properties, contracts consisting of one (1) single residence for each contract. Combined bids of residential properties shall not be accepted. Demolition work shall include the removal of all improvements within the property boundary only. No demolition work shall occur on or over the property line but may include minor grading or seeding in the public right of way. 2 After demolition of all improvements, restore disturbed area to match existing non-disturbed area or adjacent area. Include the removal of all debris, from the site which may include tree limbs, garbage, tires, rocks and etc. Grade property and re-seed to establish vegetation and allow for owner to mow property.
