STATE PROJECT NUMBER: 13-0660-060-25-3000 James Caldwell High School 265 Westville Avenue West Caldwell, NJ 07006 AREA OF CONSTRUCTION: 14,531 S.F STATE PROJECT NUMBER: 13-0660-050-25-4000 The scope of work includes the removal of existing air handling units and installation of new roof top units to provide heat and cooling to the existing gymnasiums at Grover Cleveland Middle School and James Caldwell High School. Architectural work involves removal and replacement of existing plaster ceiling as indicated. Mechanical work includes new equipment and exposed spiral ductwork. Electrical work encompasses service upgrade, with solar panel alteration not anticipated. Plumbing consists of new gas piping. Structural work is included as needed to support new equipment. Roofing work covers removal and replacement of approximately 500 square feet of existing roof system with new multi-ply roof membrane and insulation, replacement of associated metal edge where indicated, and a new RTU screen where indicated. No site work is anticipated. The Contract Documents define the full project scope. Bidders must submit bids for a lump sum price for the entire project, covering all trades. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in relevant categories and must include documentation for prequalified subcontractors in specified classifications. Additional requirements include submission of a Business Registration Certificate, affidavit regarding debarment status, bid bond or certified/cashier's check, Certificate of Consent of Surety, Statement of Ownership, and compliance with all applicable state laws, regulations, and project reporting forms. No modifications to the Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Supplemental Conditions, or Specifications are allowed except by addenda as outlined in the Specifications. Only the successful bidder will be required, prior to contract award, to submit certain certifications. Bids proposing modifications to requirements will be rejected as non-responsive.
