Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Daytona Beach, Florida. Working plans call for site work for a one-story above grade educational facility; and one-story above grade educational facility.
**As of January 30, 2026, bid came in well over the anticipated project cost. Project will be rebid but no definite date yet.** The project consists of constructing 6-8' wide concrete sidewalks along the streets around Campbell Middle School and Turie T. Small Elementary School, including South Street, Keech Street, and Cedar Street. The work also includes the construction of ADA compliant ramps with detectable warnings, reconstruction of driveways for ADA compliance, reducing lane widths, installation of curb and gutter, milling and paving select areas for proper stormwater runoff, clearing and grubbing, mobilization, maintenance of traffic, stormwater improvements, sign relocations, thermoplastic striping, and sodding. The instructions to bidders specify that bid responses must be submitted online through the designated Platform. Bid documents consist of all published sections of the solicitation including attachments, pricing proposal schedule, and all other required forms to be completed, signed, and submitted as part of the bid. Bidders are responsible for reviewing all revisions and published answers to questions before submitting an offer. Bids may be held by the City for up to 60 days for review and investigation prior to awarding the contract. All communications regarding the solicitation are conducted through the Platform, and paper bids are not accepted. Additional technical specifications are included in the attachments referenced in the solicitation.
